One of Army's most decorated marksmen, Cannella earned five first-team NRA All-America honors, set the school air rifle record, and competed twice at the Olympic Trials. A team captain, he helped guide Army to multiple top-six NCAA finishes and later excelled with the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, winning national championships and representing the U.S. internationally.
