Arvin Gymnasium
Arvin Gymnasium is a multi-purpose venue, primarily serving as home to the Black Knights wrestling program.
Namesake - CPT. Carl Robert Arvin
Arvin Gymnasium was named in honor of CPT. Carl Robert Arvin (USMA'65). He was First Captain, wrestling team captain, and a Rhodes Scholarship finalist. CPT. Arvin was killed during his second tour in Vietnam. He was award two Silver Stars for gallantry.
History
When Arvin Gymnasium re-opened at the start of the 2005-06 academic year, the entire Corps of Cadets benefited. The 495,100-square foot building includes two swimming pools, a combat water survival lab, six racquetball courts, two large basketball courts, a state of the art rock climbing wall, an expansive weight room, and boxing rooms.
