Army Set to Host 2018 Patriot League Tournament

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's tennis team begins the 2018 postseason by hosting the Patriot League Tournament from Thursday to Sunday at the Lichtenberg and Malek Tennis Centers.

ARMY (18-6, 6-1 Patriot League)
• The Black Knights enter the league tournament as the 2-seed for the seventh time in program history.
• Army is 9-5 and has advanced to the championship match five times as the 2-seed all-time.
• The Cadets are hosting the event for the ninth time, having won the title on six different occasions on their home court.
• Rookies Hannah Boubel and Ana Joyner have paced the Black Knights in singles play with records of 25-10 and 21-12, respectively.
• Joyner and junior Melanie Allen have been Army's best doubles tandem, posting an overall record of 19-11 while going 12-6 in the top flight during duals.
THE FIELD
• Navy is the top seed for just the second time.
• Boston U. has won the last four league titles.
