Army West Point Athletics
On Point: A Different Mindset
March 29, 2018 | Women's Tennis
Cadets are provided an endless number of opportunities to pursue their dreams at the U.S. Military Academy, whether it be militarily, professionally, athletically or personally. For junior Army West Point women's tennis player Genevieve McCormick, those unique opportunities allowed her to travel to the other side of the world for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
As a Chinese major, McCormick elected to go to Taiwan during the fall semester on the Academy's version of a study abroad trip with some of her fellow classmates. Throughout that journey, the Berwyh, Pa., native immersed herself in the eastern Asian culture, while also having the opportunity to expand her horizons on the tennis court.
