Army Wraps Up First Day of UC Irvine Classic

WEST POINT, NY – The Army West Point women's track and field team finished day one of the UC Irvine Spring Break Classic with a strong showing. Â
Army ended the day with 30 points, which put the squad in third place at the end of the first day.

Track Events
- Samantha Coletti won the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:45.24. Monika Shimko came in at 11:49.91, which was good for 12th and Morgan Chewning-Kulick came in 13th place with a itme of 12:16.83.
- Ramsey Wagner clocked in at 17:44.36 which was good for eighth place in the 5000-meter run.
Field Events
- Briyah Brown won the hammer throw with a final distance of 52.93m. Kamryn Brinson placed sixth, throwing 50.50m.
- In the javelin, Adaugo Oguejiofor finished fifth with a distance of 40.71m. Isabel Olds followed close behind in eighth with a distance of 36.26m. Â
