ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Two Academy records were broken on the second day of the Patriot League Championships and the Army West Point men's swimming and diving team remained in second place.
Navy continues to lead the field with 371.5 points with Army trailing at 263 points. Boston U. (153.5), Bucknell (148) and Loyola (111.5) round out the top-five with Lehigh (107.5), Colgate (92), Lafayette (66), American (61) and Holy Cross (50) right behind.

ARMY NOTABLES
- Tom Ottman broke an Academy record, which he set at last year's championships in the 500 free after he hit the wall at 4:21.71. Ottman's time was good for third in the field of eight.
- In the ensuing men's event, Peter Mikheyev set an Academy record in the 200 IM after he won with a time of 1:46.09. Â
- Brandon McCredie defended his title in the 50 free, hitting the wall at 20.15. Evin Rude finished right behind and was part of a three-way tie for second with a time of 20.25. Hogan Harper also scored for Army in the event, winning the B-Final with his time of 20.63.
- To close out the night, the foursome of Josh Sembrano, Brady Almand, Kevin Doo and Rude took second at 3:15.01 in the 400 medley relay.

- "We had a really good night," head coach Mickey Wender said. "Both the men and women fought hard and we had some great performances. Tom's school record in the 500 free was a lot of fun to watch. Peter got us on a roll with his win and record in the IM as well. Brandon stepped up big time to win the 50 free for the third year in a row."
