WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army West Point football team returns to Michie Stadium on Saturday as the Black Knights play host to Buffalo for a 12 p.m. kickoff.

THE OPENING KICKOFF
• The Black Knights are coming off a 64-6 victory over Fordham last Friday night at home, and it was the second most points scored in program history in a season opener.
• Army scored 21 points in the first quarter to pull ahead early against the Rams.
• Head Coach Jeff Monken won his third season opener in four seasons with the Black Knights.
• Monken's first win of his Army coaching career came in the 2014 opener versus Buffalo.
• Army is now 97-28-3 all-time when kicking off a season.
• The Black Knights' offense ran for over 500 yards against Fordham, and the rushing attack found the endzone eight times.
• The ground game averaged 10.5 yards per carry and had 10 rushes that were over 20 yards in the victory.
• Including Friday night's game, the Black Knights have put up 60 or more points in three of the last five home games at West Point.
ARMY-BUFFALO SERIES HISTORY
• This will be the sixth meeting between the two New York schools.
• Army and Buffalo last met in 2016 and the Bulls halted the Black Knights' three-game winning streak to start the season with a 23-20 overtime victory in Western New York.
• The series shows Buffalo in the lead by a 3-2 margin, but the Black Knights are 2-1 at home against the Bulls.
• The last meeting at Michie Stadium was the season opener in 2014 and Monken's first game as coach for Army.
• Monken has a connection to Buffalo as he was a wide receivers and tight ends coach with the Bulls from 1992-94.
ABOUT THE BULLS
• Buffalo comes to West Point after traveling to Minnesota to take on the Gophers last week.
• The Bulls held their own against Minnesota, but lost the game 17-7 after trailing by no more than a touchdown during most of the game.
• Tyree Jackson returns under center and went 22-of-42 for 211 yards with a touchdown and an interception in his start against the Gophers.
• The rushing attack struggled with only 51 yards on 22 attempts.
• Anthony Johnson is a receiver the Black Knights must be on the lookout for as he posted 11 catches for 140 yards and a touchdown last week.
• On the defensive side, Khalil Hodge put up impressive numbers with 20 tackles, while Tim Roberts had 13 stops in the loss.
CASHING IN
• The Black Knights' offense was making the most of its opportunities in the red zone against Fordham with a 7-for-7 performance.
• Army scored touchdowns on six of its seven visits to the red zone in the win, while kicking a 30-yard field goal as well.
• Army is currently tied for the nation's lead in red zone offense with 64 other teams.
BRADSHAW'S BACK
• The senior quarterback started off his final campaign with his best ground performance of his career with 177 yards and two touchdowns.
• It was the second time in his career he had multiple rushing scores in a game.
• Bradshaw's second touchdown of the season was a career best 71 yard scamper in the second quarter.
• He was the first quarterback to run for more than 150 yards since Trent Steelman in 2012.
SCORING AT WILL
• The Black Knights continued their high-scoring attack from 2016 with another 60-plus outing to begin the 2017 season.
• The 64-point performance was the fourth 60-plus performance under head coach Jeff Monken.
• The only coach in Army history to have more than four is Earl "Red" Blaik, who saw his team's do it 12 times during his legendary career.
• It was the third time in the last five games at Michie Stadium that Army has scored 60 or more points.
• On Friday night against Fordham, eight different players found the end zone with seven of them coming as rushing scores.
