Game Notes: Army Heads to the Big Easy

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army West Point football team looks to rebound Saturday with a matchup in New Orleans against Tulane.
The game will be live on CBS Sports Network and the Army Sports Network with kickoff slotted for 11 a.m. local time and 12 p.m. Eastern.

THE OPENING KICKOFF
• The Black Knights are coming off their first loss of the season after dropping a 38-7 decision to eighth-ranked Ohio State in Columbus on Saturday.
• Army looks to bounce back against the Green Wave, who took on No. 2 Oklahoma Saturday and lost 56-14.
• The Black Knights saw their five-game winning streak come to an end with the loss.
• Army was held to no 100-yard rushers for the first time since the Army-Navy Game, presented by USAA, in 2016.
• Junior fullback Darnell Woolfolk was the closest to reaching the century mark with 74 yards on the ground and his team-leading fourth touchdown of the season.
• Quarterback Ahmad Bradshaw was held under 100 yards on the ground for the first time this season with 50 yards on 19 carries and was tackled behind the line of scrimmage for the first time as well.
• The Black Knights were held under double-digits for the first time since the game against Notre Dame on Nov. 12, 2016 at The Alamodome in a 44-6 loss.
ARMY-TULANE SERIES HISTORY
• This will be the 20th meeting between Army and Tulane and the ninth in the New Orleans city limits.
• The two schools first met back in 1953 and played to a 0-0 tie.
• The Black Knights are 3-2 over their last five games with the Green Wave.
• The last meeting was in 2015 and Tulane came out on top with a 34-31 victory at Michie Stadium.
ABOUT THE GREEN WAVE
• Tulane comes into Saturday with a 1-2 record and has dropped its last two contests.
• The Green Wave went to Oklahoma last week and lost to the Sooners by a 56-14 score.
• Tulane's offense revolves around its running game as the Green Wave is averaging 241.3 yards per game, while posting just over 100 yards a game through the air.
• Quarterback Johnathan Brantley is a dual threat with 148 yards on the ground in two games and 198 yards passing.
• Dontrell Hilliard is the top running back and has 208 yards on 45 carries along with a pair of touchdowns.
• Terren Encalade has been Brantley's top receiver with 111 yards on nine catches and average 12.3 yards per reception.
• On the defensive side, Rae Juan Marbley leads the team in tackles with 20, while Luke Jackson has posted 3.5 sacks.

• The Black Knights have strung together some impressive long scoring drives this season.
• Army has put together three scoring drives of 13 plays or more this season and both have come in the last two games.
• Against Ohio State, Army tied a school record with a 99-yard scoring drive on 18 plays.
• That drive was the longest scoring drive the Buckeyes had ever given up at Ohio Stadium and only the second time in school history.
• Against Buffalo, the Black Knights had 16- and 13-play drives in the second half to complete the comeback over the Bulls.

CLIMBING THE RANKINGS
• Senior quarterback Ahmad Bradshaw started off his final campaign with back-to-back 100-yard rushing games against Fordham and Buffalo.
• He now ranks third among quarterbacks in Army history with seven 100-yard rushing games in his career.
• Bradshaw is tied for 19th all-time in career rushing yards with 1,666 after 503 in the last four games.
• The Chicago native is currently tied with College Football Hall of Famer and 1945 Heisman Trophy winner Felix "Doc" Blanchard.
• He has passed Army greats Rollie Stichweh and Collin Mooney in the last three weeks and entered the year 38th in career rushing.
• Bradshaw has cracked the top 10 in rushing yards nationally for the first time in his career. He is ranked 10th with 374 yards on the ground and 20th in yards per carry at 7.06.
• Against Fordham in the season opener, he was the first quarterback to run for more than 150 yards since Trent Steelman in 2012.
