WEST POINT, N.Y. – The IWLCA honored 388 student-athletes from 99 different institutions on the 2017 IWLCA Zag Sports Division I Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
Juniors Kristen McCarty and Kiersten Spencer were named to the Academic Honor Roll squad. McCarty is an Environmental Engineering major, while Spencer, a two-year captain, studies Mechanical Engineering.
"We are so excited to see Kiersten and Kristen named to the NCAA Academic Honor Roll," said Noto Family head women's lacrosse coach Kristen Skiera. "They are such impressive individuals in the ways that they excel in their various roles as cadets, students, leaders and lacrosse team members. They represent our program so well on and off of the field and are so deserving of this academic honor."
In all, 30 student-athletes from the Patriot League were recognized on the list.
The Black Knights finished their second season as a varsity program with a 5-12 mark. Army earned its first Patriot League victory with a 11-9 win over Colgate April 19.
