Kim Tied for 37th After Round One

DAY TWO TEE TIMES
WEST LAFAYETTE, IND. – With the opening round of the NCAA Regional complete, Peter Kim of the Army West Point golf team sits in a tie for 37th.

Kim started the day with a birdie on the opening hole and then parred the next three holes, leaving him at 18 (-1) through four. Kim went two-over-par on the next five holes to finish the first nine at one over par.

To kick off the back nine, Kim added one more stroke through the first four holes. He continued on this trend adding one more stroke to close out the back nine. Kim held a score card of 75 (+3) to finish out the first of three rounds.

The top five teams and the top individual all advance to the NCAA Championships in Sugar Grove, Ill., hosted by Northern Illinois. Currently the top five teams are No. 17 UNLV (287, -1), No. 8 Illinois (288, E), No. 44 New Mexico (288, E), No. 28 South Carolina (291, +3) and No. 5 Florida (282, +4). The top individual is Trent Wallace from Illinois State that scratched 68 (-4) in the first round.
