COACHES CORNER
"A year ago about this time we held an evening practice at Shea and I noticed how perfect the conditions were. No wind, nice temperature, beautiful setting, and the idea was hatched to host a May twilight meet here at West Point. Tonight, was the culmination of that idea and it was great. Realistically we knew that we would only have smattering of entries so we prioritized the 1500 and the 800 meter races and they were fantastic. The goal was to help our people run fast and that is exactly what happened."
Â
"Cassie Mundekis started things off with a school record in the 800-meter run. She now holds the indoor school record and the outdoor school record. She was tremendous. We have set 11 school records this year. That equals the total from last year as the single most productive year for school records in the history of our combined men's and women's programs."
