ESPN Announces Date for Armed Forces Bowl

WEST POINT, N.Y. – ESPN has released dates and kickoff times for multiple bowl games, including the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl, which Army has a tie-in with this season.
The Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl will be played on Saturday, Dec. 23, on ESPN. The 14th edition of the postseason college football bowl game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. from Amon G. Carter Stadium on the campus of TCU, in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Black Knights are scheduled to play an opponent from the Big 12 in the bowl contest.
Football will open the home slate on Sept. 1 against Fordham with the kickoff set for 6 p.m.
The games against Buffalo (Sept. 9), Eastern Michigan (Oct. 14), Temple (Oct. 21) and Duke (Nov. 11), will all kickoff at noon, while the contest versus UTEP on Sept. 30 is set for a 3:30 p.m. start.
CBS Sports Network will televise all Army West Point home football games to a national audience.
The Army-Navy Game presented by USAA is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Dec. 9 and will be carried by CBS.
The remaining times for Army West Point's road games at Ohio State (Sept. 16), Tulane (Sept. 23), Rice (Oct. 7), Air Force (Nov. 4) and North Texas (Nov. 18), will be announced this summer.
