Two Midweek Games Next For Army Baseball

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point baseball team is back in action Tuesday and Wednesday for two midweek contests.

The Black Knights first welcome Manhattan on Tuesday in a 3:30 p.m. first pitch at Doubleday Field, before traveling to Siena on Wednesday. That game is slated for 3 p.m. at Siena Field.
Â
Tuesday's contest will have live stats, video and audio available, while Wednesday's outing will only have live stats.

Army finished 3-1 at Bucknell this past weekend to improve to 6-2 in Patriot League play. One of those wins was a thrilling 16-14 extra innings victory in the series finale where the Black Knights battled back five times to complete the comeback.

John McCarthy posted four doubles in that game, which broke a program record. He finished 9-for-19 in the series with five doubles, seven RBI, and five runs scored.

Alex Dickerson and Kris Lindner, along with Jon Rosoff, also chipped in multiple hits on the weekend as well. Dickerson notched seven, while Rosoff and Lindner posted six and five, respectively. Rosoff also accounted for six runs scored to go along with Lindner's six RBI.

On the hill, Jeremy Mortensen finished with an ERA of 1.29 after earning a win and save on the weekend in seven innings pitched. Jacob Carte did not allow a run in his 5.0 inning of work. He started the series opener, garnering a no-decision but wrapped things up for the Cadets in the finale earning the save.Â
