Black Knights Head to Quinnipiac Sunday

WEST POINT, N.Y. – After earning a 13-11 win over Central Connecticut State on Wednesday, the Army West Point women's lacrosse team will return to the Nutmeg State to take on Quinnipiac Sunday at 3:30 p.m.

The Black Knights and Bobcats will take each other on at Yale's Reese Stadium in New Haven, Conn., due to construction at Quinnipiac's home turf.

SCOUTING ARMY
- The Black Knights have improved to 3-1 on the year after defeating CCSU on the road, 13-11.
- Rachel Hornick and Erin Jollota led the charge with four points apiece. Hornick's were on three goals and an assist, while Jollota posted two scores and two helpers.
- This season, Jollota leads the Patriot League with 2.60 assists per game as Hornick is second with 4.00 goals per game.
- Amy Johnston has helped the team's offensive efforts with six goals and five assists. Manuela Cortes has also notched double-digit points in 2017 with nine goals and an assist.
- Maddie Burns is tops on the team with 12 ground balls and is followed by Madeline Leahy who has nine and Johnston, Kiersten Spencer and Shelby Lindsay who have all recorded seven.
- On the draw, Johnston ranks fourth in the league with 4.60 draw controls per game.
SCOUTING QUINNIPIAC
- The Bobcats have a 1-2 record this season with their solo win coming against Central Connecticut State (10-9).
- Ashley Bobinski and Loren Antonacci are the main threats on offense with six and eight points apiece. Allison Kuhn is also up on the list with three goals and two assists this season.
- Antonacci, Kiera Kelly and Haley Everding all boast four caused turnovers on the defensive side of the ball, while Ellie Swenson leads the team with six ground balls.
- Kuhn (8) and Swenson (5) have been the primary standouts on the draw circle, but Antonacci and Alex Hlesciak have also helped with four controls each.
- Kyle Larkin has started in all three games for the Bobcats and has made 21 saves in net.
