Maddox, Brinson Gain League Weekly Honors

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Army West Point track and field teams featured two Cadet-athletes who-won Patriot League weekly honors after sweeping Navy at home on Saturday.

Tyrell Maddox received his first M-F Athletic Patriot League Rookie of the Week nod, while fellow classmate Kamryn Brinson was chosen as the M-F Athletic Patriot League Female Field Athlete of the Week.

Maddox won the 500-meter run at the Army-Navy meet with a time of 1:04.28. His time is the fastest in the Patriot League this season. Maddox also helped the Black Knights win the 4x400 relay defeat Navy with a league-best 3:18.30 time.

Brinson took home gold in the weight throw against the Mids with a distances of 17.76 meters. The throw is the best in the Patriot League this season.

The Black Knights return to action Friday as they take part in the Fastrack Invitational in Staten Island, N.Y.
