Kim Awarded AAA Athlete of the Week

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Â After his dominating performance on the course last weekend, senior Peter Kim of the Army West Point golf team was named the Army Athletic Association Athlete of the Week.

Kim brought home the individual title shooting 72-68-70—210 (-6) over the weekend. On the par 72 course the Metuchen N.J., native was even-par during the first round before shooting four-under and two-under for the next two days, respectively. He birdied the final two holes on Sunday to hold off No. 94 Phillip Knowles from North Florida and No. 70 David Wicks from Jacksonville to capture the individual title by one stroke.

As a whole, the golf team sported an outstanding performance at the Hayt Invitational in Jacksonville Fla., over the weekend. The team finished ninth with a score of 299-292-295 – 886 (+22) while up against several nationally ranked teams.
