WEST POINT, N.Y. – Sophomore Dalton MacAfee of the Army West Point hockey team has received Defender of the Week accolades from the Atlantic Hockey Association for the second time this season.

The Needham, Mass., native dished out an assist on the opening goal Friday and added two on Saturday night including the game-winner. Saturday's game was his first multi-point game of his career at Army. MacAfee now totals 13 points on the year and a team-best of 42 blocks.
MacAfee and the rest of Army's defensive unit boasts the best scoring defense in the league (2.06) and second best penalty killing unit (.875). The penalty kill ranks third nationally and the Black Knights have not allowed a power play goal in four games.
With the weekend sweep, Army clinched a first-round bye in the Atlantic Hockey Tournament as well as home ice advantage for the second round.
The Cadets are now on a four-game winning streak and five-game unbeaten streak which is the longest this season. Army closes out the regular season with a home-and-home with American Int'l on Feb. 23 and 25.
