FORT WORTH, Texas - The Army West Point football team held their final practice at Kennedale High School on Thursday as the Black Knights get ready for the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl.Â
The Black Knights spent extra time on special teams today in the first portion of practice under sunny skies and the temperature in the 70s. Army went through mostly team drills for the last part of practice before finishing with a fourth-quarter drill.Â
Army got a visit from Mike Mayweather, who is the all-time leading rusher for the Black Knights. The 1991 West Point graduate racked up a total of 4,299 yards in his career and went over 1,000 yards three times.Â
The Black Knights will finish the day by visiting the VA Hospital in Dallas, while another group of cadets headed to the Cook Children's Hospital this morning.Â
