LAS VEGAS – The Army West Point wrestling team closed out the first half of its season on the final day of the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational on Sunday afternoon.

The Black Knights finished the tournament in 30th place with 21.5 points.

Junior Rocco Caywood was Army's lone wrestler to compete on day two.

COACH'S CORNER
Head Coach Kevin Ward – "I think I've learned a lot about our team through the first semester of the season; where we are strong and areas we need to address. We're leaving this tournament with a bad taste in our mouths. I'm embarrassed for our program and for our fans. The Army deserves a tougher team. We will go to work on areas we need to address. I wouldn't be surprised to see some new faces in the lineup next semester."

UP NEXT

The Black Knights will have a little more than a month off before returning to action at the North Carolina Duals on Jan. 5 where they will face the Tar Heels, Duke, Wyoming and EIWA-foe American. Times for the matches will be announced at a later date.
