Complete Pro Bowl Rosters
NEW YORK - The National Football League announced its rosters for the 2018 Pro Bowl in Orlando and former Army football player Alejandro Villanueva '10 was picked to represent the American Football Conference.Â
Villanueva was one of a league best eight Pittsburgh Steelers players to be voted onto the roster. He is the first United States Military Academy graduate to make the National Football League Pro Bowl since former Heisman Trophy winner Glenn Davis was a Pro Bowl selection in 1951. Villanueva is the first service-academy graduate to make the Pro Bowl since Navy's Roger Staubach did it in 1979 and only the third choice since 1951, joining Davis, Staubach and Navy's Bob Hoernschemeyer, who was voted onto the roster in 1951 and 1952. Both Davis and Villanueva served five years in the U.S. Army prior to their careers in the NFL.
In addition, recent Army Sports Hall of Famer Bob Mischak was a 1961 and 1962 American Football League All-Star selection.
The Killer B's -- Antonio Brown, Ben Roethlisberger, Le'Veon Bell and Chris Boswell -- along with linebacker Ryan Shazier (who suffered a season-ending spinal injury earlier this month) headlined the group, which will play in the annual all-star game Jan. 28 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. Villanueva, guard David DeCastro and center Maurkice Pouncey rounded out the Steelers' selections.
The 2018Â PRO BOWLÂ will return to Camping World Stadium on Sunday, January 28 at 3:00 PM ET. The game will be televised on ESPN and ESPN Deportes, and simulcast on ABC. Live audio coverage will also be available on Westwood One, SiriusXM NFL Radio, and on the TuneIn app.
