Army West Point Athletics
On Point: A Grandfather's Mark
December 14, 2017 | Men's Basketball
This year the Army West Point Athletic Association has rebranded Feature Friday into a video and written feature series called On Point. The new design to the stories will help fans connect to the cadet-athletes better than ever before.
Â
On Point highlights the tremendous personal stories our coaches and cadet-athletes have to share on a weekly basis. Each week throughout the year, a new feature story will be prominently highlighted on GoArmyWestPoint.com. The features will include visual pieces, as well as written stories by media outlets and the Army West Point athletic communications staff.
Growing up, young aspiring athletes always have someone they look up to. Whether it's a professional athlete or a coach they had growing up, kids always try and mold their game and their lives based on someone they look up to. For Army West Point men's basketball's Jordan Fox, he didn't have to look any further than his grandfather. This inspirational story explains a bond between two men that started in youth basketball when Fox's grandfather taught him the game he loves so much. He then made it possible for Fox to attend AAU college showcase tournaments, which ultimately got him an invitational to an elite camp at West Point where he was offered his only Division I scholarship. Fox now is living out his dream as his grandfather watches on proudly.Â
