SOUTHAMPTON, Pa. - Army West Point football head coach Jeff Monken was announced as a 2017 semifinalist for the George Munger Award by the Maxwell Football Club for national coach of the year.
The list includes a field of 16 candidates for the award who have been selected by the MFC National Selection Committee.
Monken has led the Black Knights to an 8-2 record this season and Army is currently riding a six-game winning streak heading into its clash with North Texas on Saturday.
