Men’s XC Heads to the Patriot League Championships
October 27, 2017 | Men's Cross Country
WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's cross country team will travel to Bethlehem, Pa. to race in the Patriot League Championships, hosted by Lehigh, this Saturday at the Murray H. Goodman Campus.
COACH'S CORNER:
"I think it will be a very close race for the top four teams," said head coach Mike Smith. "It will be somewhat tightly bunched, much closer than it's been. I think we are now part of the discussion as a team that will compete for a championship."
"Whether or not we get there will depend on how we run on the day of the meet. I think our guys are good enough to compete for a title. We need to execute our race plan and then let the chips fall as they will. We are better than we've been in a long time, and the guys are hungry for more. They are confident, but they still have to prove it on race day."
