Army Closes Fall Slate at UTEP Invitational

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army West Point golf team heads to El Paso, Texas, to participate in the Price's "Give 'Em Five" Invitational, hosted by Texas-El Paso.

The three-day event, which begins Friday and run through Sunday, will be held at Butterfield Trail Golf Club in El Paso, Texas, and will be played on a Par-72 course. The teams will play 18 holes on each day with tees times beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Sunday's final round will begin in a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m.

The 13- team field includes: Air Force, Army, No. 22 Marquette, New Mexico State, Oral Roberts, Pacific, San Jose State, Southern Utah, Texas State, Missouri-Kansas City, UT-Rio Grande Valley, Western New Mexico and host UTEP.

The Black Knights will deploy a six-man roster for competition that includes Dean Sakata (C), Nick Turner, Matt Plunkett, James McKee, Justin Williamson and Gunnar Doyle.

BACKGROUND OF THE PRICE'S "GIVE 'EM FIVE" INVITATIONAL
- Last season, UTEP, the reigning Conference USA Champions ran away with their home title for the first time after firing an impressive 35-under 829 (276-280-273).
- The Butterfield Trail Golf Club boasts numerous accolades, including being named the third-best municipal course in the nation by Golfweek magazine every year from 2009-2015.
- Designed by Tom Fazio, the course was established in 2007 and is located a short distance from the El Paso International Airport.
