Game Notes: Temple On Tap For Black Knights

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army West Point football team is back at Michie Stadium Saturday looking to extend its home winning streak to six games as the Black Knights welcome Temple.
The contest will air live on CBS Sports Network; the game can also be heard on the Army Sports Network through the TuneIn app or goarmywestpoint.com.

• The Black Knights are participating in the It's On Us campaign this weekend around post.
• The volleyball team is hosting the first game of the weekend for the campaign during their match Lafayette on Friday night.
• In addition to the Cadets wearing their Its on Us shirts, the football players will have an Its On Us decal on their helmets.
• On Black Knight Alley, Cadets and fans will be doing a Push Against Relationship Abuse campaign, which will also be between the third and fourth quarters of the game.
THE OPENING KICKOFF
• The Black Knights are riding a three-game winning streak heading into Saturday's game and have won five of their first seven games this season.
• Dating back to last season, Army is 8-2 in its last nine games and the last period with eight wins in a 10-game stretch came in 1996.A
• Army has won its first four homes of a season for the first time since 1996 and four home games in a season since 1997.
• The Owls march into Michie with a 3-4 overall mark after dropping a close game to UConn last Saturday in AAC action.
• The Black Knights sealed the win late in the game thanks to James Gibson's game-saving top on the Eagles' two-point conversion attempt with 49 seconds left to preserve the 28-27 victory.
• Ahmad Bradshaw finished with 171 yards on the ground and a touchdown, while Kell Walker had over 100 yards rushing for the second straight game.

ABOUT THE OWLS
• Temple comes to West Point with one win in its last four games.
• The Owls won two of their first three games with victories over Villanova and UMass, but has lost conference matchups to USF, Houston and UConn.
• They are averaging just under 20 points per game and have given up 26 points per contest.
• Armstead is the leading rusher for the Owls with 277 yards on 86 carries and a touchdown, while David Hood has two scores and 243 yards on the ground.
• Temple attacks through the air with quarterback Logan Marchi posting 1,658 yards passing and nine scores.
• Isaiah Wright leads the team with 26 receptions for 374 yards and three touchdowns, while Keith Kirkwood has two scores and 325 receiving yards.

• Fullback Darnell Woolfolk made his return to the gridiron Saturday and made an immediate impact.
• In his limited action, he racked up 51 yards and a touchdown in his first game back since the Ohio State game on the road.
• The Endwell, N.Y., native has scored at least one touchdown in all four games this season and has 14 in his career.
GROUND STRIKE
• The Black Knights have really found their stride in the running game and the touchdowns are piling up.

• He now ranks third among quarterbacks in Army history with nine 100-yard rushing games in his career.
• Bradshaw is now 11th all-time in career rushing yards with 2,110 after 171 against Eastern Michigan.
• The Chicago native passed Doug Black on Saturday for 11th.
• Next up is Michael Wallace with 2,275 yards for 10th all-time.
• With another touchdown last Saturday, Bradshaw is now tied for 14th-place all-time with 20 rushing touchdowns.
