Army Set to Face Lehigh, Navy

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point volleyball team faces two tough opponents this weekend in Lehigh and Navy. The Black Knights will face the Mountain Hawks on the road Friday night (5 p.m.) and will turn around to host Navy Saturday night (7 p.m.) at Gillis Field House.

ARMY (11-8, 4-2 Patriot League)

Army picked up two three-set victories last weekend with a home win against Colgate Friday night and a road win Sunday at Holy Cross.
The Cadets are currently fourth in the league and will face Lehigh on the road Friday before hosting Navy at Gillis Field House Saturday.
The Black Knights top the league in several categories including service aces (1.51 per set) and kills (12.91 per set). The Cadets rank second in assists (12.91 per set) and are third in hitting percentage (.251).
Ana Oglivie tops the league in service aces per set with 0.41.
Carolyn Bockrath ranks second in hitting percentage (.388).

LEHIGH (14-7, 5-2 Patriot League)

Lehigh is looking to rebound from a 3-1 loss at league-leading Navy on Tuesday night.
The Black Knights own a 37-15 record against Lehigh in the all-time series and have won the last three meetings, including a postseason match in 2015.
The Mountain Hawks are led by Ana Spangenberg who boasts 3.29 kills per set. She hits .251 and averages 0.61 blocks per set.
Megan Polak ranks third in assists per set in the league (8.83) and adds 2.19 digs per set.

NAVY (17-3, 7-0 Patriot League)

The Black Knights boast a 46-13 advantage in the all-time series against Navy and a .839 winning percentage at West Point.
The Midshipmen have yet to drop a game in league play as they sit atop the rankings with a 7-0 mark and are 17-3 overall.
Navy boasts a league-best 12.93 assists per set average and is second in digs (17.29), blocks (2.30 per set), kills (13.76 per set) and hitting percentage (.255).
Tara Dotzauer leads the way with 2.82 kills per set and is followed by Maggie Phillips who averages 2.81.
Katie Patrick posts 1.26 blocks per set.
