Goff Named AAA Athlete of the Week

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Senior All-Arounder Nathan Goff of the Army West Point gymnastics team was named the Army Athletic Association Athlete of the Week after his outstanding performance at the West Point Open.

The senior was sixth in the All-Around (80.25) competition during Friday night's team finals. Goff excelled on the High Bar and Parallel Bars and moved forward in both events for Saturday's individual finals.

Goff turned in a 14.50 to trail Penn State's Dominic DiFulvio's winning mark of 14.75 on the High Bar. The Army All-Arounder's score bettered his mark of 14.00 that he set in prelims Friday evening. He then placed third on the Parallel Bars with a score of 13.65.

For his effort, he was also recognized as the ECAC Gymnast of the Week for his routines. The Black Knights will be back in action this weekend as they take on Penn State in Happy Valley.
