Johnson Receives Preseason Accolades

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Senior attackman Cole Johnson received preseason accolades from Inside Lacrosse as he was named a Preseason Second Team All-American.
Johnson enters his final season after one of the best offensive years in Army lacrosse history with 73 points in 17 games in 2016. He tallied 35 goals and 38 assists. He was on the Tewaaraton Award Watch List and a first team All-Patriot League performer. The 73 points scored were the second most all-time for a single season in Army's 99-year lacrosse history.
Johnson was second in the Patriot League in points per game at 4.29 and second in assists per game at 2.24. He had an unbelievable stretch of five games where he scored seven more points for a total of 35 points and had multi-point games in all but two games in 2016. Johnson had 11 points in the three Patriot League Tournament contests as well.
