DAY ONE RESULTS
HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Army West Point golf team is in fourth place after two rounds at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invite hosted by Colgate at Seven Oaks Golf Club.

The Black Knights finished the 36 holes with a team score of 599 (+23) to trail St. John's (+16), Cornell (+12) and Delaware (+3).

"The greens were fast and firm, and our guys struggled with their speed around the greens," head coach Brian Watts stated. "For tomorrow we will make the needed adjustments and hopefully shoot some lower scores. The guys had a great attitude today, and will carry that through to tomorrow's round.

ARMY HIGHLIGHTS AND ROUND NOTES
- Helping to contribute to Army's score was Gunnar Doyle, who carded a two-round score of 148 (+4). Additionally, Nick Turner fired rounds of 73 and 76 for a 149 (+5) overall, while Justin Paglia fired a 7-over-par 151 over the two rounds.
- In the individual scoring, Max Messner and Brian Stecker carded two-round scores of +25 and +31, respectively.
- Hole No. 1 played the hardest on the day as there was just one birdie and 30 bogeys recorded throughout the two rounds.
- Hole No. 13 was the easiest hole of the day relative to par, as there were only nine bogeys and one double-bogey tallied on the day.
