Football Announces 2017 Schedule Adjustments

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point football team has announced adjustments to its 2017 schedule with several date changes, but opponents remain the same.
"We do not like to make changes to a schedule after releasing it, but we felt it was necessary," Army West Point Director of Athletics Boo Corrigan said. "The revised slate allows us to break up a previously unbalanced schedule. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause our alumni and fans."
The Black Knights will open the 2017 schedule under the lights on a Friday night at home on Sept. 1 against Fordham, while the game at Tulane, originally slated for Sept. 2, has moved to Sept. 23 in New Orleans.
The contest at Rice on Sept. 23 has been pushed to Oct. 7 and the home game against Texas-El Paso is now on Sept. 30.
The final move of the 2017 schedule is the home contest against Duke, which fills the Nov. 11 slot that Fordham was originally slated for.
