Spring Football Kicks Off April 1

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point football team will start spring practice on Friday, April 1, and will host 14 practices leading up to the annual spring game on Saturday, April 30.
Head coach Jeff Monken leads the Black Knights in his third season at the helm. Army posted a 2-10 record last season, but lost by only a possession in eight of those games including narrowly losing to No. 21 Navy 21-17 in the 116th Army-Navy Game presented by USAA.
Army will be holding its practices at Michie Stadium and Howze Field before convening on Blaik Field for the spring game.
The Black Knights open the 2016 season on the road against Temple at the site they concluded the 2015 campaign at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pa., on Friday, September 2. The Cadets host Rice in the home opener on September 10 and also welcome Lafayette, North Texas, Air Force, and Morgan State this season.
All practices are open to the public and free of charge. Dates and times are subject to change. All practice times are TBA.
