Women's Basketball to Face Syracuse in NCAAs

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's basketball team learned Monday evening that it will travel to Syracuse, N.Y., as a No. 13 seed to face No. 4 Syracuse on Friday, March 18 in the NCAA Tournament's Sioux Falls Region. Army's first-round contest at the Carrier Dome will be aired live on ESPN2 at 2:30 p.m.

The Black Knights will make their third trip to the Division I NCAA Tournament this season, following appearances in 2014 and 2006. Army was seeded No. 13 in 2014 and faced No. 4 Maryland, and drew a No. 15 seed in 2006 and played No. 2 Tennessee.

Friday's meeting will be the fifth between Army and Syracuse, with the schools last playing during the 1982-83 season. The Orange have won all four games in the series.

Tickets in Army's allotment for the first two rounds can be ordered by Army A Club members at the Major Level and higher and basketball season ticket holders beginning Tuesday, March 15 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. If tickets are still available, Army A Club members at the Captain level and below, along with West Point Faculty, Staff and Residents, will have an opportunity to order tickets Wednesday, March 16 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. General public sales will occur Thursday, March 17 at 9 a.m. if any tickets remain.

Wednesday, March 16 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.: (Based on availability) Army A Club members at the Captain level ($375) and below and West Point Faculty, Staff and Residents

Thursday, March 17 at 9 a.m.: (Based on availability) General Public

 *Seat allocations will be filled based on Army A Club donor level and priority point total.
