Feature Friday: How West Point Molded Jesse Glenn
March 11, 2016 | Men's Gymnastics
Feature Friday highlights the tremendous personal stories our coaches and cadet-athletes have to share on a weekly basis. Each Friday, a new feature story will be prominently highlighted on GoArmyWestPoint.com. The features will include multi-media pieces, as well as written stories by media outlets and the Army West Point athletic communications staff.
Jesse Glenn came to West Point as a highly-touted gymnast. The six-time member of the United States Junior National Team had the option to stay in his home state of California and attend Stanford, but Glenn wanted more from his collegiate career. The United States Military Academy would not only make him a better man, but also presented the challenge of returning a prominent program back to the NCAA Championships.
Four years later, Glenn is now a finalist for the prestigious Nissen-Emery Award and is coming off a season in which he was an integral part in the Black Knights making the NCAA Championships for the first time in 10 years. Glenn, his father Rocky Glenn, and Army West Point gymnastics head coach Doug Van Everen discuss Jesse's notable career and how West Point molded the man.
