Men's Lacrosse Slides Opener to Friday

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Due to the expected extreme cold weather this weekend, the men's lacrosse game between Army and Massachusetts has been moved up to Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Michie Stadium.
The Army Black Knights open their 99th season this Friday with a matchup against Massachusetts. It is the sixth-straight season these two teams open the slate. The Black Knights won 12-7 in 2015, which was the first for Army in that stretch of four consecutive season openers. That win was a milestone victory for the Black Knights as it was their 750th victory in program history. The Minutemen are selected to finish fifth in a tough Colonial Athletic Assocation. It is the 22nd season at the helm for head coach Greg Cannella.
Friday's game will be free of charge. Fans that have purchased tickets in advance are able to exchange their season or single game tickets for both the men's and women's lacrosse games on Friday for an equal number of tickets to any future lacrosse game this season.
For those not able to make the game at Michie Stadium, the men's lacrosse team makes its home debut on the Patriot League Network. Fans can watch content, including live games, all season long for free at PatriotLeague.tv.
