Less Than 24 Hours and Counting…
December 26, 2016 | Football
DALLAS - The Army West Point football team is officially less than 24 hours away from its first bowl game since 2010.
Monday marked Army's final preparations before game day. The Cadets shifted from their previous venue at Southern Methodist University to the Cotton Bowl for their pregame walk through.
The Black Knights take on North Texas on Tuesday at 12 p.m. Eastern Time in the Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl. The game will be carried live on ESPN.
After a brief walk through, Army then visited the Veterans Hospital of North Texas to spend some time with former veterans. A highlight of the visit was a brilliant a cappella performance of Jingle Bells during lunch which was directed by senior Edgar Poe.
Tonight from 6-8 p.m. Central Time head coach Jeff Monken will join Assistant Athletic Director for Multimedia Rich DeMarco to talk about the upcoming matchup between the Black Knights and Mean Green on This Week in Army Football Radio Show.
Fans are encouraged to attend if they are in the area as the show will be broadcast live from the second floor of the Hyatt Regency Dallas.
For those fans unable to make the show live, WLNA 1420-AM and WBNR 1260-AM will air the show and a video stream will be offered at GoArmyWestPoint.com.
