WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point football team welcomes Morgan State on Saturday for a 12 p.m. kickoff at MIchie Stadium on senior day.

SATURDAY'S ARE FOR GAMEDAY
• The Army West Point football team returns to West Point for its final home game of the 2016 season when the Black Knights host Morgan State on senior day.
THE OPENING KICKOFF
• The Black Knights are trying to right the ship after defeats to Air Force and Notre Dame over the past two weekends.
• The Black Knights are still seeking their first six-win season since 2010.
• Army allowed a season high 44 points to Notre Dame last Saturday in San Antonio at The Alamodome as part of the Irish's Shamrock Series.
• The rushing attack was halted against the Irish as Army ran for only 229 yards, but the Black Knights remain second in the nation in rushing with an average of 311 yards per contest.
• The defense has dropped to 10th in the nation in total defense after allowing a season high 476 total yards against Notre Dame.
• The passing defense was tested all afternoon in San Antonio as well, giving up 215 yards and three scores, but Army is still ninth in the nation against the pass.
• Army is 2-2 this year at Michie Stadium and the Black Knights are 1-1 in home finales under head coach Jeff Monken.
BOWL SITUATION
• The Black Knights need a win Saturday over Morgan State to remain in the bowl discussion.
• The Lafayette game does not count toward Army's bowl eligibility victories, so the Black Knights sit at four wins entering Saturday.
• With a win, Army would still be in the hunt as a five-win team.

• The Black Knights' defense has allowed an average of 20.7 points per game over the first 10 contests, which ranks 21st in the nation.
• Six of the 10 opponents Army has faced have been held to two touchdowns or less on the scoreboard.
• The last two home games have been tough for the Black Knights as Army gave up over 30 points in each contest.
• Army allowed a season-high 261 rushing yards to Notre Dame on Saturday.
• The Army passing defense is ninth in FBS, allowing only 171.4 yards through the air.

• Quarterback Chris Carter made his first start of 2016 and the third nod of his career.
• The sophomore ran for 30 yards on 11 carries and attempted five passes.
• Rookie Malik McGue came on in relief late in the game and had 28 yards on the ground and was 2-for-3 through the air for 13 yards and an interception.

• Edgar Poe is back to his big-catch form with a career-high 122 yards at Wake Forest and a team-high 46 yards against the Air Force.
• The Wake Forest game was his first 100-yard receiving game of the season and the third of his career.
• He surpassed his brother Christian as the leading receiver for the Black Knights with 245 yards on 12 catches and a touchdown this season.
• Poe's previous high for receiving yards in a game was against Navy last year when he hauled in five catches for 121 yards and a score.
• He has 10 career receiving touchdowns and passed Pete Dawkins, Don Holleder and Aris Comeaux against Air Force for seventh all-time.

• Andrew King has continued his momentum from an impressive junior season into his senior campaign.
• The middle linebacker is first on the team with 81 tackles, including 47 solo stops.
• He has four sacks on the year and eight tackles for loss.
• King has been in the right place at the right time with two fumble recoveries in 2016, including one at Duke.
• King is currently fourth all-time in career tackles for loss with 32.5 and is a half a tackle behind Jim Brock '87 and Cameron Craig '07 for third all-time.

• Jeremy Timpf has also enjoyed a stellar senior campaign with 78 tackles, including seven that have ended up as losses.
• He is one of two players on the defense with two interceptions and has six career picks, including three as a sophomore.
• Timpf has posted 10 or more tackles in three games this season, including 15 at Duke on Oct. 8.
• He had 12 stops against Air Force with eight being solo stops. Timpf added six stops opposite Notre Dame.
• Timpf has 287 career tackles for 15th all-time and is one away from John Roney '85 and Stephen Anderson '11 for 14th. He passed former teammate Geoffery Bacon against Notre Dame, who was in attendance at The Alamodome.

• The series history between Army and Morgan State is a short one with the only matchup coming in 2013.
• The Black Knights opened the 2013 season with the Bears under the lights at Michie Stadium.
• Army ran for over 300 yards in the game, led by Angel Santiago '14 (120 yards) and Larry Dixon '14 (107 yards).
• The Black Knights opened up a 21-0 lead in the first half and never looked back.
ABOUT THE BEARS
• Morgan State is 2-7 on the year after dropping a tough 22-21 loss to Florida A&M on the road Saturday.
• The Bears had a 21-9 lead heading into the fourth quarter but the Rattlers answered with 13 unanswered points to earn the victory.
• The lone wins for the Bears are against conference rivals Howard and Delaware State.
• The offense has struggled this season and is averaging only 16.22 points and 286.4 total yards per contest.
• The defense is allowing 31 points per game and 381 yards per contest.
• Quarterback Chris Andrews has 1,157 passing yards so far this season and averages 128.5 yards per game through the air. Andrews has added nine touchdowns and thrown seven interceptions.
• Lamont Brown III is the leading rusher for the Bears with 322 yards on the ground, while Eric Harrell has a team-high three touchdowns.
• Ladarious Spearman has added 375 yards receiving for an average of 41.67 a game and three touchdowns.
• Greg Gibson is the leading tackler on defense with 67 stops. The defense has a total of 20 sacks on the season.
