Army to Compete at Two Events This Weekend

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army West Point men's tennis team will split up and participate in two events this weekend. The Black Knights will host the Army Shootout on Saturday and Sunday, while sending members of the team to Princeton, N.J., for the Farnsworth Invitational Friday through Sunday.
Army Shootout
Morgan Hale, David Mitchell, Michael Nguyen, Nikita Pereverzin, Michael Sienko and Cameron Voigt will be competing in the Army Shootout against Bryant, Sacred Heart and Stony Brook.
Pereverzin recently made it to the finals of the singles "C" draw at the Rice Invite, while Sienko, Mitchell and Nguyen earned singles wins at the event.
Matches will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Farnsworth Invitational
There will be 13 teams competing in the Invite, including Army, Princeton, Bucknell, Buffalo, Drexel, Fairleigh Dickinson, Georgetown, Lehigh, Marist, Monmouth, NJIT, St. John's and Temple.
Play will consist of six draws of singles, and three doubles draws. Each player will be guaranteed four singles and three doubles matches, barring any byes in the draw.
Competition will start Thursday at the Lenz Tennis Center at approximately 4 p.m. with Friday, Saturday and Sunday set to begin at 9 a.m. One round of singles is set for Thursday, followed by two rounds of singles Friday, and two rounds of doubles and one round of singles each day Saturday and Sunday.
No Army players competed in Thursday's action.
