Official Patriot League Release
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Patriot League announced Monday that Army West Point women's soccer players Clare Shea and Jordan Cassalia were honored with all-conference nods.
Shea earned first team accolades, while Cassalia was tabbed to the second team. This was Shea's second-career postseason acknowledgment as she was also named to the All-Patriot League Third Team back in 2014.
Shea was one of just two players to have started all 18 games this season for Army. The junior led the Black Knights in assists, points, shots, shots on goal, and was tied for tops on the team in goals and game-winners. She was an offensive threat for the Cadets, recording a team-best 39 shots on the year, with 25 of them being on frame.
Cassalia closed out her career making 93 saves between the posts during her final season. She earned the starting nod in 17 of the Black Knights' 18 games, logging more than 1,548 minutes of action. In her career, she total 330 saves, while posting 10 shutouts in her 71 games played. She ended her time at West Point third all-time in saves and second in minutes played (6566:49).
The All-Patriot League teams and major award winners were voted on by the league's 10 head coaches, with restrictions of excluding their own student-athletes.
