Black Knights Prep For Senior Day

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Saturday will mark the last match played on Clinton Field for six special Army West Point women's soccer players.
The Black Knights welcome Bucknell on Saturday for a 3 p.m. tilt it will be the final time Jordan Cassalia, Carly Katalinic, Pam Wishart, Kate Meyer, Kayla Swasey and Sam Gottlieb are all together in an Army soccer uniform in front of their home crowd.
Army sits with a 2-4-2 league mark, but hold a 4-11-2 overall record. The Bison are currently tied for first in the league with a record of 7-1 and 13-1-2 overall.
This match is not only senior day but Army's 'It's ON us Game'. The team will be wearing teal wrist bands and prewrap in support of the President's national campaign. 'It's ON us' has partnered with colleges and organizations from across the nation in an effort to raise awareness and build a culture of eliminating sexual violence on our campuses and in our communities.

THE MATCHUP
- Army and Bucknell have a long-standing rivalry as the schools have played a total of 33 times, which is the second most for the Black Knights against any opponent.
- Army holds the slight edge over the Bison at 17-14-2.
- Just a season ago, Bucknell recorded a 1-0 victory on its home field after the Bison tallied the eventual game-winner right after halftime.
- The last win over the Bison came during the 2013 season when Kimberly An '14 scored the game-winner in double overtime.
INSIDE SCOOP
- Army dropped a 2-0 decision to Pennsylvania on Monday night at Clinton Field in its last non-conference match of the year.
- The Quakers jumped in front in the 25th minute when Olivia Blaber intercepted a pass 25-yards out from goal. She took a few touches before firing a well-driven shot into the lower left corner of the net.
- Penn then added an insurance tally in the 69th minute when Blaber and Emily Sands connected to find Cameo Hazlewood at the top of the box.
- Despite some strong offensive pressure from the Black Knights, the visitors were able to hold on for the win.
- Meyer made her third career start for Army, while Helen Burleigh made her first career start in net for the Black Knights.
