Fargo Named D1A National Player of the Week

BOULDER, Colo. - Following a two-score afternoon in which the fifth-ranked Black Knights defeated Rugby East foe Buffalo by a score of 48-0, Army West Point cow Andrew Fargo has been named the D1A National Player of the Week.

"Andrew did some things well that he's been working hard to improve on, but like most of the team, he also came away with a number of things to work on and improve going forward," said head coach Matt Sherman.

Fargo's play as a line-breaking center will be huge to the Black Knights' success this season and he also adds experienced leadership as one of the team's veteran starters.

"We feel it is important for all players to be pushing hard for their best performance at all times of the year, regardless of age or year," added Sherman.

Fargo and the Black Knights will return to the pitch on Saturday as they host conference rival St. Bonaventure in a 7 p.m. matchup from Anderson Rugby Complex. The game will be broadcast live on Knight Vision.
