WEST POINT, N.Y. – Prior to the Army West Point football team's return to Michie Stadium against Wake Forest Saturday, Black Knights Alley will provide fans entertainment leading up to kickoff at 12 p.m.
In an effort to control lines entering the stadium from Black Knights Alley, this year the fan fest area will only be accessible with a game day ticket. Fans will be permitted to scan in their tickets to enter and have tickets scanned to exit.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early on Friday to take part in the multitude of fan activities offered on football game days at West Point including Black Knights Alley. Please visit ARMYgameday.com for all game day information.
Approximately two hours before kickoff, Army's football team members and coaches will participate in Black Knight Walk and parade through the heart of Black Knights Alley en route to the team locker room. Fans are encouraged to attend and support the Black Knights as they get set for kickoff versus the Deacs.
Black Knights Alley will open at 9 a.m. Saturday morning and will be open until the game begins. The fan fest area is located along Mills Road between Michie Stadium and Lusk Reservoir. Black Knights Alley will be open three hours prior to kickoff for all home games this season and features live music, inflatables for kids, food and beverage, beer tent, face painting, a different interactive sport every game, tailgate show, as well as other vendors.
Saturday morning's Black Knights Alley activities will feature Army humvee vehicles and Coca-Cola inflatables bookending the event between Gates 1 and 3 of Michie Stadium. The Army Football Tailgate Show will hit the air live from outside Gate 2 beginning at 10 a.m., while a West Point Band entertains fans from the Gate 1 end of the Alley adjacent to the Anheuser-Busch beverage tent.
Members of the Army hockey, gymnastics and wrestling teams will be on hand taking part in interactive stations including trampoline acrobatics and face painting with fans.
The Class of 2015 Army Hall of Fame Inductees will be stationed at the South end of Black Knights Alley and will be signing autographs for fans.
In addition, displays and representatives from Navy Federal Credit Union, Coca-Cola, Edible Arrangements, State Farm, PenFed, Pamal Radio, USAA, Core Power, St. Luke's Hospital – Cornwall, and Residential Home Funding will be featured along the Alley. There will also be tents dedicated to U.S. Army Recruiting and the West Point Fire Department in Black Knights Alley.
Parking lots open at 6 a.m. Friday with stadium gates opening at 10 a.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling 1-877-TIX-ARMY or visiting www.GoArmyWestPoint.com/tickets.
