Steelman Signs With FXFL Hudson Valley Fort

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Former Army football quarterback Trent Steelman will continue his football career not far from where he starred in college.
Steelman, a four-year starter at quarterback at Army, has joined the Fall Experimental Football League and will play for the Hudson Valley Fort.
A quarterback in college, Steelman was invited to the Baltimore Ravens training camp as a wide receiver. Steelman was among the team's late cuts. He helped team Team USA to a gold medal following a most valuable player performance at the International Federation of American Football World Championships.
After playing at Michie Stadium for four years, his home field with be 30 minutes north at Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, N.Y.
The Fort will play their home games at Dutchess Stadium, home to the Hudson Valley Renegades minor league baseball team.
Hudson Valley will open its season Oct. 10 at 7:05 p.m. with fireworks set to follow the contest. Tickets are available by calling 845-838-0094 or at www.hvrenegades.com.
The FXFL was founded in May of 2014 by Commissioner and CEO Brian Woods to provide a developmental platform for professional football talent.
