WEST POINT, N.Y. – Ahmad Bradshaw and Aaron Kemper ran for touchdowns, Bradshaw connected with Edgar Poe on another and Daniel Grochowski kicked a 40-yard field goal as the Army West Point football team held its second scrimmage of fall camp Saturday morning.
On the defensive side, Gibby Gibson intercepted a pass and the team made a stand on fourth-and-goal during the 90-minute workout at Michie Stadium.
With fall classes now underway, the Black Knights have been practicing in the evening and Saturday's scrimmage highlighted the third week of fall camp.
Bradshaw began the scrimmage under center with the first team offense. A.J. Schurr who began the scrimmage last weekend with the first team offense, also took snaps with the first unit. Second-year head coach Jeff Monken continues to evaluate both and is expected to name a starter closer to the Black Knights' season-opener against Fordham on Sept. 4 at Michie Stadium.
Saturday's scrimmage featured the first team offense against the first team defense, second team offense against the second team defense and the third team offense against the third team defense.

John Trainor, Matt Giachinta and Jordan Asberry were in the backfield with Deandre Bell and Poe at wide receivers. Tight end Kelvin White and wide receiver Jeff Ejekam also took first-team snaps.
The first team defense featured John Voit up front with Jordan Smith and Cordarrell Davis. Linebackers Alex Aukerman, Bayle Wolf, Andrew King and Jeremy Timpf were in front of Rhyan England, Xavier Moss, Steven Johnson and Chris Carnegie in the secondary.

On the second team defense were Shawn Lemoto, Raymond Wright, Evan Finnane, Kenneth Brinson, Justin Fahn, Scott Washle, Tevin Long, Max Regan, Jared Rogers and Gibson.
Grochowski opened the scoring with his 40-yard field goal, splitting the upright off of Tardieu's hold. Johnson broke up a pass to force the field goal.
Cale Brewer handled the ensuing kickoff and then J.D. Mote the punt when the drive stalled.
Smith recorded a tackle for loss on the next drive before Bradshaw found Trainor for a 36-yard gain. Ashberry and Giachinta moved the ball to the one where Bradshaw found paydirt. Brewer kicked the PAT.
Gibson stepped in front of a pass on the next series for the first takeaway of the contest and returned it nearly 40 yards. Trainor and Kemper had rushes and then Kemper concluded the drive with a two-yard scoring run.
The defense made a few quality plays on the next drive, forcing a turnover on downs when the offense failed to score on fourth-and-one.
The offense moved 99 yards for a touchdown. Schurr hit Trainor for 22 yards and Asberry broke off a 55-yard run one play later. The offense appeared to score when DeAndre Bell hit Asberry in the back of the end zone but the play was called back because of a penalty. Two players after, Bradshaw scampered for 22 yards and then found Edgar Poe for a 19-yard touchdown to complete the scoring.

"We saw good things, on both sides of the ball. We still have a lot of work to do though on both sides of the ball and in the kicking game. Some of it was good, some of it not so good. We will go back and evaluate the film and continue to try and get better."

"We took care of the ball for the most part and that was good. A.J. got the start last week so Ahmad got it this week. We were able to move the ball and generate some points which was good to see. We still have a lot of work to do. We will see how things shake out in these next few weeks."
