USAA Sponsors Army-Navy Star Series

WEST POINT, N.Y. – As part of the 10-year deal that USAA signed to remain the presenting sponsor of the Army-Navy Game, the financial firm will expand its support across all athletic contests between the two service academies.
With the sponsorship, the Army-Navy Star Series will be presented by USAA.
The Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA is an annual competition between the two service academies throughout each season. The series dates back to 2005-06 and both academies must field a varsity team in order for the contest to count towards the overall record.
Twelve of the "Stars" have been given out already this season and with Navy's 21-17 win in football at the Army-Navy Game presented by USAA on Saturday, the Mids took back the overall lead in the series at 5-4-1. There are seven contests that have yet to be decided in the series, including a basketball doubleheader at Madison Square Garden on Jan. 23.
Tickets still remain on sale for the hoops matchup and can be purchased can be purchased online at GoArmyWestPoint.com, by calling the ticket office at 1-877-TIX-ARMY or in person at Gate 3 of Michie Stadium.Â
