Firstie Vanessa Edwards' biggest fan is her mother, Michelle Edwards and with her mom's deployment to Afghanistan, the relationship has grown even stronger.
Edwards earned her first All-Patriot League First Team honor of her career this season after being named to the second team last season. Edwards started for Army in all 31 matches and played in 115 sets during her senior season. She recorded 20 assist-dig double-doubles, including a seven-match streak from Sept. 12-Oct. 2. Edwards amassed 1,258 assists and 351 digs this season and led the Patriot League for the second consecutive season with an assist per set average of 11.04.
